Down South: New Orleans, LA and Jackson, MS
I have two events in the coming days that I’m very much looking forward to as I haven’t visited any portion the Gulf Coast in the aftermath of Katrina or the recent hurricanes. If you are in the area, please stop by as I’d love to hear firsthand from residents what life is now like in this storied and unique part of our country.

Just finished “The Lace Reader” . I just visited the Salem area for the very first time.
My nephew’s girlfriend, Sandy, invited me to join her and another girlfriend in a
very memorable trip. Just after the visit I had to pick up “The Lace Reader”. It was
wonderful to go back to the places I had just visited. I so thoroughly enjoyed the
mystery and could not put the book down. Thank you, Brunonia Barry, for the journey back through Salem. What an exciting, frightening, enlightening adventure
you put before me in the pages of your book. I look forward to your next
endeavor. My deepest condolences go to you at this very difficult time.
Again, thank you

Dear Brunonia,
I am in the middle of your wonderful novel, “The Lace Reader”, enjoying it thoroughly. Congratulations to this pageturner. I keep turning the pages, cannot put the book down. I like the topic and the language, the light humour and the wonderful characters, too. My favourite: Eva (of course !) The love story between Towner/Sophya and Rafferty is so exciting – oh! – with their quipped dialogues. They make me smile …
Wishing you all the best in your writing career,
Eva
