Listen to the Book Club Meeting
Last night, we conducted a call-in / webcast book club for The Lace Reader with readers from all over the country sending in questions and listening in.
If you missed it, don’t worry. We recorded the hour long event and you can listen to it by clicking here.
Enjoy!

I have just listened to the interview with Brunonia Barry and found it fascinating! Thank you so much for posting these wonderful insights into this novel. I felt so relieved to hear that I was actually “on track” in my understanding of this complex story.
I had no technical problems at all, but I do have a couple of suggestions:
(1) at the outset I would have appreciated knowing how long the interview was going to be as once I was listening I didn’t want to leave it yet had other commitments to which I had to attend.
(2) it would have been nice to have a counter-type indicator which would show where we were in the interview as a whole. With that I would have been able to leave the replay and come back to it at another time, at the appropriate place. I realize that I could just use the Pause button, but that is not really an adequate way of dealing with an Internet page that may not be accessed until another day.
This was a book that required (for me at least) a reread; in fact, I feel that I must read it for the third time to really understand all of the layers. I don’t believe I have ever read a book that has required this much of me. Well worth it!
Thanks again for posting the interview with the author.
