I have read that there will be a trilogy. When will the next book be released? Thanks. Linda

Linda,
I’m writing the second book now and have to turn it in mid-year. Later this summer, the paperback version of The Lace Reader will come out. Then in 2010, the second book is scheduled to be released but no date has been announced yet.
I do have a written outline for the third book so I know where I want the characters to go. Basically, the key characters of books 1 & 2 will get a chance to interact and two characters from book 1 will die. That’s about all I should say for now. I don’t want to get to far ahead of myself given the uncertain times we live in and how surprising the writing process is (you never totally know where your characters are going until you start typing).
Thanks so much for taking the time to write to me.
Best wishes,
Brunonia

I absolutely loved “The Lace Reader” on Audio. I’m huge fan of audio books and “The Lace Reader” kept me in my car long after I’d reached my destinations! Can’t wait for the second and third books!

Hi Tammy,
I thought Alyssa Breshnahan did a fantastic job reading. I listened to it on a long trip from Vermont to Maine. – Brunonia

Hi Linda,
The next book will be released in the summer of 2010. While the story will be set in Salem, it appears to have little to do with The Lace Reader. But when you get to the third book, the first two stories will come together.
