Launching a writing career can certainly cause turbostress. It is now one of my favorite words. What name do you write under?

I am truly loving “Lace” – especially since I also grew up in Marblehead and can identify with all the local “colour” you put into your story. Very well done, Ms. Barry!

I was immediately delighted. Turbostress means exactly what it sounds like it means, and it describes a state I have found myself in for the last few years as I have tried to launch my writing career.

On American English to American English translating- now that I've read your fanny pack comments I get why you call Sophya, Towner and not Header! But... I do cherish my Header history, even if I was born in Salem. Looking forward to reading 'The Map of True Places.'

Marblehead forever,
Reine

I am currently reading The Lace Reader now, and have just received my copy of Map of True Places in the mail. Since I live in Salem, I am truly loving "Lace" - especially since I also grew up in Marblehead and can identify with all the local "colour" you put into your story. Very well done, Ms. Barry!
