There will also be panel discussions on genres including romance, biography, military, fiction, theater, travel, cooking, memoir, spiritualism, history and many other topics.

Newburyport Literary Festival this weekend!

What are you doing this weekend? No plans yet? Close to the North Shore? You should check out the Newburyport Literary Festival in Newburyport, Massachusetts. It kicks off this Friday, April 29 and goes through Saturday evening, April 30. I'll be presenting on Saturday at 9am. They've got a stellar line-up (just like always). And, Newburyport is just the prettiest little town. Hope you can make it.

As of tomorrow, my new post for Writer Unboxed will be posted. Check my Facebook page tomorrow for a direct link to the new post. As some of you may know, I've been working on my third novel, and I contemplate my own writing process for this month's post. The Mess in the Middle, the title of the post, and the problems I've been encountering in my writing, are always tricky to handle. I love a good challenge. And I'm working on my next post for Lipstick Chronicles. Keep an eye out for that as well!

I'll be in Marblehead tonight

Tonight at 6:30pm I'll be at the Spirit of '76 Bookstore on Marblehead, MA to do a reading, signing, and Q&A about The Map of True Places. Ever since the Cornerstone Books in Salem closed (I miss that bookstore), it's nice to still feel like I have a slice of home at the Spirit of '76. You can read more about the event here.
